Signing Up

Getting started with Blue is quick and easy. You can create an account using your email, Google, Apple, or Microsoft account.

Creating Your Account

On Desktop

  1. Visit your league’s Blue URL
  2. Click Sign Up or Get Started
  3. Choose your sign-up method:
    • Email - Enter your email to receive a magic link
    • Google - Sign in with your Google account
    • Apple - Sign in with your Apple ID
    • Microsoft - Sign in with your Microsoft account

On Mobile

  1. Visit m.assign.blue  on your phone
  2. Tap Sign Up to create a new account
  3. Choose your sign-up method (same options as desktop)
  4. Complete the guided Profile Setup flow with your required information
  5. Once your profile is complete, you’ll be taken to the Games page

If you sign up with email, you’ll receive a magic link instead of creating a password. Just click the link in your email to sign in.

On mobile, new users must complete a profile setup before accessing the app. This ensures all required information is collected upfront.

Joining a League

After creating your account, you’ll need to join your league:

  1. Your league administrator may send you an invitation link
  2. Click the link to automatically join the league
  3. Complete your profile with your contact information

Setting Up Your Profile

Once you’re in, take a moment to set up your profile:

  • Name - How you want to appear to others
  • Phone Number - Required for SMS notifications
  • Emergency Contact - Required for umpires (name and phone number)
  • Notification Preferences - Choose how you want to be notified

If you plan to officiate games, you must provide an emergency contact name and phone number. This is required for on-field safety.

Admin-Only Accounts

If you’re signing up as an administrator only and don’t plan to work games as an umpire, you can select “I do not intend to officiate” during signup. This makes the emergency contact information optional.

You can change this setting later in your profile if you decide to start officiating.
