Requesting Games

When self-assignment is disabled for a game (such as during tournaments or special events), you can still express interest by requesting the game. Administrators will see your request and can assign you.

How Game Requests Work

  1. Find Games Without Self-Assign - Look for games where the self-assign option is disabled
  2. Request the Game - Click the hand icon to express interest
  3. Admin Reviews - League or district admins see your request
  4. Get Assigned - If selected, you’ll be assigned and notified

Requesting a Game

To request a game:

  1. Navigate to the game schedule
  2. Look for games with a hand icon (these have self-assign disabled)
  3. Click the hand icon to open the request dialog
  4. Click Request Game to submit your interest
  5. The icon will highlight to show you’ve requested

The hand icon shows a badge with the total number of requests, so you can see how many other umpires are interested.

Cancelling a Request

If you change your mind:

  1. Click the hand icon on a game you’ve requested
  2. Click Cancel Request
  3. Your request is removed
