Calendar Subscription
Sync your game assignments directly to your favorite calendar app. Never miss a game with automatic updates to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that supports webcal subscriptions.
Setting Up Calendar Subscription
- Go to your Profile page
- In the Availability section, click Subscribe to Calendar
- Click Create Calendar Subscription to generate your unique subscription link
- Click Subscribe in Calendar App to automatically add the calendar
Most calendar apps will recognize the webcal link and open automatically. If not, copy the URL and add it manually.
Adding to Specific Calendar Apps
Google Calendar
- Click Subscribe in Calendar App, or
- Copy the subscription URL
- In Google Calendar, go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL
- Paste the URL and click Add calendar
Apple Calendar (Mac/iOS)
- Click Subscribe in Calendar App, or
- On Mac: File → New Calendar Subscription
- On iPhone/iPad: Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar
- Paste the URL and save
Microsoft Outlook
- Copy the subscription URL
- Go to Add Calendar → Subscribe from web
- Paste the URL and give the calendar a name
- Click Import
What’s Included in Calendar Events
Each game assignment appears as a calendar event with:
- Event Title: Division, teams, and “via Blue” identifier
- Date & Time: Scheduled game time with 2-hour duration
- Location: Venue address for easy navigation
- Notes: League name, matchup, and full crew assignments
Unconfirmed assignments are prefixed with [Unconfirmed] so you can easily identify games that need your confirmation.
Automatic Updates
Calendar subscriptions automatically refresh:
- Your calendar app periodically checks for updates (usually every few hours)
- New assignments appear automatically
- Cancelled games are removed
- Crew changes are reflected in the notes
Managing Your Subscription
Regenerating Your Link
If you need a new subscription URL (e.g., for security reasons):
- Go to your Profile → Subscribe to Calendar
- Click Regenerate Subscription Link
- Confirm the action
Regenerating creates a new URL and invalidates the old one. You’ll need to re-subscribe in all your calendar apps.
Removing the Subscription
To stop receiving calendar updates:
- Open your calendar app’s settings
- Find the “Blue” calendar subscription
- Delete or unsubscribe from it
Troubleshooting
Events not appearing?
- Calendar apps may take a few hours to refresh
- Try manually refreshing the calendar in your app
- Verify the subscription URL is correct
Wrong times showing?
- Check your calendar app’s timezone settings
- Ensure your device timezone matches your location
Need a fresh start?
- Regenerate your subscription link in Blue
- Remove the old calendar subscription
- Add the new URL to your calendar app
