Managing Games
As a league administrator, you control the game schedule. Create games, set umpire requirements, and keep your season running smoothly.
The Schedule View
Your schedule dashboard shows all games with:
- Date, time, and location
- Teams playing
- Umpire assignment status
- Quick actions for each game
Creating Games
To add a new game:
- Click Add Game or New Game
- Select the date and time
- Choose the home and away teams
- Set the location/field
- Specify umpire requirements (1 or 2 umpires)
- Add any notes for umpires
- Save the game
Create games in bulk by importing from a spreadsheet or league management system.
Editing Games
To modify an existing game:
- Click on the game in the schedule
- Click Edit or the edit icon
- Make your changes
- Save the game
Changes trigger notifications to assigned umpires automatically.
Cancelling Games
When a game is cancelled:
- Open the game details
- Click Cancel Game
- Enter a cancellation reason (required)
- Confirm the cancellation
- Assigned umpires are notified automatically
Cancelled games remain visible and now display a clear Canceled badge plus the reason entered. This preserves history and makes changes obvious to crews.
Mobile
League, district, and global admins can also create and edit games from the Blue Mobile app at m.assign.blue .
- Create: Tap the + button in the top-right corner of the Games page
- Edit: Open a game detail page and tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner
The mobile form includes all the same fields as the desktop: league, teams, date/time, site, field, game type, game config, bracket level, self-assign toggle, and notes.

Use the mobile app to quickly create or update games while you’re at the field.
Bulk Operations
For efficiency, you can:
- Import games from CSV/spreadsheet
- Cancel multiple games at once
- Update multiple games simultaneously
